GOPET HELLAS Announces strong increase in Business Volume for 2023

Jun 5, 2024Press Release

GOPET HELLAS reports a significant increase in its business volume for 2023, reflecting strong growth prospects. These results come amid a dynamically changing environment with various shifts in Greek export rates.

All of the company’s activities show substantial growth in terms of orders, with the Sea freight and Logistics services achieving a 20% growth in managed volumes; whereas the international freight forwarding reached a 10% growth. Overall, GOPET HELLAS records a total business increase of 13.5%.

Several factors contributed to this performance. The opening of a new, larger warehouse in Aspropyrgos in October 2023 increased storage capacity and efficiency for the Logistics department. The company also attracted new clients locally and internationally.

GOPET HELLAS offers a full range of storage and transport solutions, actively supporting Greek businesses and bringing their services and products closer to their customers and partners, in Europe and beyond. Its portfolio includes small and medium-sized enterprises needing logistics, storage, and transport solutions, as well as large multinational organizations seeking access to global markets. Notably, its road services (FTL, LTL) cover more than 30 destinations across Europe, the Caucasus, and Türkiye.

Locally, the company made a significant strategic investment in a new Class A warehouse. It is indicative that within a few months the center is operating almost at its maximum capacity, with the company considering options for further expansion to four times today’s capacity. In its commitment to sustainability in the logistics sector, the GOPET Group is incorporating more sustainable operations and green service options, such as increasing the use of Euro 6 vehicles and planning LNG truck trials. These efforts aim to enhance operational efficiency while minimizing environmental impact.

Dimitris Amaxopoulos, Commercial Director of GOPET HELLAS, stated: “Amid market volatility, we have demonstrated our growth potential. We are determined to expand our operations both in Greece and internationally. In this context, we are strengthening our team to support our growing activities and considering a second operational hub in Thessaloniki as part of our expansion in Northern Greece. Our adaptability and commitment to continuous growth are combined with our focus on sustainability and innovation, ensuring we meet our customers’ evolving needs while minimizing our environmental footprint.”
